What’s Iconic in Adelaide

1

If you think you know Spats Café, then think again Adelaide! This Edwardian-Style Dessert Café has been established since the 1970s, and have been owned and run by the same local family since 1986!

But it has recently undergone a subtle re-invention; the favourites on the menu are still there, including the Brandy Snap Basket, Baklava and Banana Crepes. And who could go past the good old Sticky Date Pudding?!

But there are a whole host of new items to choose from, including Organic, Gluten, and Vegan-Friendly options. One delightful addition to the menu is the Dessert Pizza! What’s not to love? Dessert? Good! Pizza? Good!

Topped with chunks of bright red strawberries (that makes it healthy right?!) and whipped cream, smothered in melted Nutella, and mixed with perfectly placed honeycomb pieces, this brand-new dessert piece was best of all, served on the PERFECT pizza base. Nonna would be proud! Thin, and crispy yet chewy, this item definitely comes highly recommended.

I have searched far and wide for a drink that remotely resembles the genius creation that is, the Spats Crunch Drink. Nowhere else has come close! Chai Latte Crunch, Chocolate Crunch, Strawberry Crunch – if you haven’t yet tried one of these sweet, smooth refreshments, then do yourself a favour! Texturally, they’re onto a winner with this one.

Located in the very classy Hyde Park, Spats is the perfect venue to spend a Wintery late night with family, a romantic date with a loved one, or a casual coffee and chat with friends.

If you’re feeling a bit peckish, you can also choose from light meals, full meals, snacks…there’s nothing Spats doesn’t offer!

Friendly service, unique décor, accessible location and devilishly decadent desserts. Tick, tick, tick and TICK!
