The Playford Hotel’s award-winning Luma Restaurant and Bar will host a Melbourne Cup event promising Adelaide’s most luxurious option for watching the race that stops a nation. Patrons are invited to celebrate the day with style and finesse at Luma and indulge in a package fit for royalty.
Mr. Steve Finlayson, Hotel General Manager, says the expansive package will have patrons thoroughly enjoying an afternoon away from the office.
“This package has already proven popular because of our generous food and beverage options as well as live music and entertainment,” says Finlayson. “It’s going to be buzzing with excitement and we encourage people to get in quick before it sells out.”
Chef Cameron Tabe’s cocktail and canapes set-up includes grazing boards, canapes including duck pithivier, prawn and lobster rolls, and desserts.
The 2.5 hour beverage package from 12.30pm to 3pm will feature Chandon Ice Garden Spritz and Prohibition Liquor cocktails.
Accompanied by live music by The Flames and hosted by MC Terry, watching the race that stops the nation will be a true celebratory occasion.
Luma is an award-winning restaurant that has recently undergone an extensive multi-million-dollar refurbishment as part of an overall upgrade of The Playford.
Awarded the ‘One Chef Hat’ accolade from Australian Good Food Guide, and winner of the Restaurant and Bar Design Award for Australia and Pacific, as well as the Light category (worldwide), the décor provides a sumptuous ambience for all involved.
The Melbourne Cup event comes ahead of much more planned for Luma, including High Tea every Saturday and Sunday, and Christmas and New Year’s Eve events.
Melbourne Cup at Luma Restaurant and Bar is on Tuesday, 7th November, from 12.30pm to 3pm. Tickets are $119 and can be purchased on The Playford Hotel’s website: Melbourne Cup 2023 – The Playford Hotel or by phone or email: 08 8213 8844,
