THE KING WILLIAM ROAD LONG LUNCH PRESENTED BY MERCEDES-BENZ UNLEY RETURNS IN 2023

King William Road will stop traffic in December as the iconic precinct brings back its popular Long Lunch.

Last hosted in 2018 and presented by Mercedes-Benz Unley, the King William Road Long Lunch will transform the strip into a stylish setting for an unforgettable dining and fashion experience on Friday, 1st December 2023.

A runway will grace the street for the first time since major street redevelopments in 2019, creating the perfect day out for an expected 450 Adelaide food and fashion enthusiasts.

Arthur Koufalas, Chair of the King William Road Traders Association, says the immersion in fashion, luxury and entertainment comes back with a new feel.

“Bringing the Long Lunch back with a new layout and seasonal theme is great for us to showcase King William Road’s amazing food, fashion and flair,” says Arthur. “We anticipate it will sell out, with so much on offer across the day.”

Attendees will relish a sumptuous three-course meal prepared by renowned restaurants of the precinct. Accompanied by fine bubbles, a gin bar and live music, the long lunch promises to be a truly unforgettable affair, whilst collaborating with OzHarvest for the first time.

“OzHarvest is thrilled that the King William Road Long Lunch presented by Mercedes-Benz Unley is making a return to Adelaide this year. As Australia’s largest food rescue organisation, we save good quality surplus food from landfill and deliver it to charities that feed people in need. Currently, with the rising cost of living, an increasing number of South Australians are struggling to put food on the table so we are so grateful that King William Road is choosing to support our operations by raising valuable funds,“ says SA Engagement Manager, Alana Roberts.

A $50 raffle will take place with the lucky winner taking home a year-long dining voucher across King William Road valued at $1,200.00. Every $1 donated allows OzHarvest to deliver two meals to a South Australian in need.

The afternoon will showcase high summer fashion from a variety of premium Australian labels in a fashion parade set to inspire audiences and their wardrobes for the season ahead.

Chris Morrison, General Manager, Mercedes-Benz Unley, says their continued collaboration with the Long Lunch was an easy decision.

“King William Road has for many years been a focal point for fashion, lifestyle, and fine dining, all of which resonates well with the Mercedes-Benz brand,” says Chris. “We are very pleased to help
support local businesses and to be a part of this exclusive event.”

Featuring a DJ, pop-up bars, and bespoke moments, the Long Lunch will span a generous 200 metres and promote King William Road as a fashion destination of choice.

The King William Long Lunch presented by Mercedes-Benz Unley is organised by the King William Road Traders Association (KWRTA), and will be held on Friday, 1st December from 12pm to 3:30pm.
