ADL Fashion Week (AFW) celebrates fashion across Adelaide’s city centre from Thursday, 6 to Sunday, 9 October, with the biggest shopping weekend on Adelaide’s calendar taking over Rundle Mall and Rundle Street from 7-9 October.
From Myer Adelaide to H&M and Rundle Place to Adelaide Arcade, fashion of all kinds will be front of mind and in the spotlight for shoppers.
Exclusive offers, bespoke in-store experiences and complimentary gifts are all part of this event, central to the inaugural AFW.
Delivered by the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA), the festival highlights an industry worth $218m to the state economy.
AEDA Managing Director, Ian Hill, says shoppers will have amazing opportunities to see their favourite stores in different ways.
“We all know R.M.Williams for its exceptional quality, so to see a workshop pay tribute to its craftsmanship really brings a new level of consumer understanding,” says Hill. “The Biggest Shopping Event is about bringing people to Rundle Mall and helping them rediscover the fun in city shopping.”
For the high-end fashionistas, The Wolf Gang in Charles Street will host The Wolf Gang’s Founder and Creative Director Vanessa Pearce while shoppers can take advantage of exclusive offers, personal styling and a gift with purchase.
Food and fashion come together with two events – Adelaide Arcade’s first high tea event at Cielo tearoom will host fashion moments, while Lobster and Co. comes
to Adelaide for the first time to collaborate with label Camilla for a pop-up dining experience at the Gawler Place Canopy. Serving lobster rolls and champagne, patrons will also receive Camilla voucher.
The Gawler Place Canopy will also be home to the AFW Resort Lounge, where the team are on hand to help shoppers find exclusive offers and store activations. The Resort Lounge will be where complimentary gifts are given to shoppers who spend $150 or more in a day across Rundle Mall and Rundle Street.
For shoppers still finding their style, the Fashion Suites in Stephens Place and outside Lovisa in Rundle Mall will have local designers and stylists on hand for all things fashion and beauty.
Rundle Mall’s department stores and complexes are also a big part of Adelaide’s biggest shopping event. Myer Adelaide has exclusive offers and fashion filled fun across the weekend including DJs and mocktails in-store Friday and Saturday. The Myer Centre is offering a Giftorium goodie bag for those who spend more than $150 in the Myer Centre between Friday, 7 and Saturday, 8 October. Think all things beauty such as MAC lipsticks and Lush bath bombs.
Rundle Mall Plaza and Adelaide Central Plaza have exclusive retail offers, while Rundle Place will host style sessions. The 90-minute personal sessions, held by premier stylists such as Lauren Dilena, Zena Najjar and Michelle Beltrame, will take individuals through current season looks.
AFW shoppers will also be glad to know of various parking deals available through Wilson Parking, Secure Parking, UPark Rundle, Wyatt and Frome, and the Myer Centre.
