Folded-up pizza and deli-style focaccia sandos with luscious flavour are coming to Glenelg at Francesca’s
Pizza + Sandos from tomorrow. The Anzac Highway eatery is a concept brought to life by the founder and previous owner of Hey Bianca and will feature some iconic Italian pizza styles not widely sold in Australia.
Dough lovers will be able to grab a pizza portafoglio for lunch; a folded street food pizza popular in Naples, as well as a selection of freshly made sandos using focaccia dough baked in-house daily, alongside wood oven Napoletana and Sicilian pizza.
To celebrate the opening Francesca’s will be hosting a special pizza day not to be missed. On next Wednesday, 13th March customers can come in and grab a $2 margherita pizza a portafoglio until sold out. The price also reflects its consumption in Naples, where it is regularly purchased at a low price as a street food snack.
