Jack Tucker: Comedy Stand Up Hour – Fringe Review

Jack Tucker: Comedy Stand Up Hour ★★★★★

Comedian Zach Zucker has this year returned to the Adelaide Fringe Festival with a brand new show full of high energy zany humour and slapstick fun!

To set the scene, Zach enters the stage with swagger, strut and confidence to the song “American Woman” blaring on the speakers. He is spilling beer, tripping over his microphone and wearing a stained suit but ready and rearing to accept his “award” for goodness knows what! This is our first introduction to Jack Tucker – a man well versed in female genetalia, celebrity impressions, hot dogs and weather reports! His knowledge of the Baha Men is also second to none!

Zucker feeds off the audience’s comments and reactions to his jokes with quick witted replies. When “mean” comments are made, Zucker hilariously incorporates this into his show with soft piano music and crocodile tears, egging on the audience to urge him to continue the show. The audience interaction makes it seems like the show would be completely different each night.

This may not be for everyone – Zucker himself stated he’s had walkouts – but boy is the world of Jack Tucker spontaneously fun! Check your sensibleness at the door and go see this brilliant clown perform at his best!
